Melanie Coffee is an entrepreneurial Las Vegas-based arts and culture professional with 20 years of demonstrated history in operations / business planning / collections management for museums and cultural arts non-profits, ranging from start-ups to well-established institutions.
Throughout her varied career, Melanie has worked toward the establishment of some of the most successful museums in the city, such as The Neon Museum, and managed collections for some of the most glamorous, including the Liberace Museum. Over the past 13 years, she has offered a wide variety of consulting services to in-state and out-of-state institutions, from The Punk Rock Museum to Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. She also provides assistance to local artists and collectors with documenting their work, collections and the development of personal archives.
The belief that “a rising tide lifts all boats” is at the heart of her practice, and she currently volunteers on the board of the Nevada Museums Association, the Contemporary Arts Collective (CAC) and is an active Peer Reviewer for the American Alliance of Museums.
